There is a race called the Hoka Postal Nationals and she was one of four girls who are not on Varsity asked to compete, she was also the only Freshman from her team. The runners were divided into heats based on their pace for a 2 mile race. She was put in the 13:30-14:40 group. She ended up running a 13:16 race, which was a pace of 6:38 per mile, and came in third in her heat. She raced against 9-12 graders, which was awesome. Her previous best race was when she ran a 6:51 pace for 1.65 miles, every other race she has had slightly over a seven minute pace.

I know I'm bragging a little, but I was so excited for her to have such a great race after the debacle at her meet on Wednesday. She is heading into the end of the season, and league finals strong!

If that quote is true, my life began last night. I went to the most incredible Halloween festival where I was chased by killer clowns, locked in a haunted cottage, attacked by pigs wielding chainsaws and thrown into a terror pit with a bag over my head. My friends kept having to have drinks in between each attraction to steady their nerves but I faced everything sober. Then I drove everyone home down pitch black, winding country roads I've never driven on before... which was probably the scariest part of the whole night.

What an utterly fantastic and unforgettable experience. I want to do it all again!

Big news is the boyfriend is back! We had a long talk yesterday and for once communicated like grown ups! The girls were pleased to see him too so all is normal again (whatever that is!).
I'm utterly thrilled to have my 3 months back. It's a big milestone on my little head and if I'm honest it's the highlight of my weekend. Next target is to see the new year in with my sobriety intact! That will be amazing! Anyone fancy joining me?
