Good morning folks.
Here for another 24 hours of blessed freedom from the chains of alcohol.
My toddler is driving me crazy- this happened the last time I was a stay at home Mom and it's the reason I went back to work last May. I had to quit my job when we moved here this spring but I think it's time for me to start looking again. Being home with him day in and day out is just not fun anymore and he's bored despite all our play dates. I didn't want to make any other big changes this year since I obviously have a hard time with them and I will be going into a different field when I go back to work (finally going to use one of my degrees) but it's obvious I need to stop staying at home as I don't enjoy it and I have limited patience for my son which is awful. I just wasn't cut out for this.

Well this wasn't supposed to be a negative post but there you go! I'm in a funk. I always feel like this going back on my diet but by day 3 or 4 I should be feeling better.

Congrats to all those celebrating milestones and hugs to those suffering or dealing with challenging circumstances (pets, cars, legal issues.)

Oh, and Neoo- enjoy your date!!!!

Sun ~ that wasn't negative at all. Just honest.
It's a very good thing to know yourself, and it's good you know what you need.
That way you can be the best mum and the best you.

I need to answer your message....I will shortly, but I was wondering if you are getting enough protein love? You do a lot. Anyway, hope today is a good day for you.

Sunflower I echo Suze that wasn't negative at all. For me being a stay at home mum was really tough. I sank lower and lower into depression (and drinking). Work is my hobby really. It gets my brain working and gives me some well needed independence and self respect. If it's right for you and your family I'd say go for it. Take care sweetie ❤❤❤

Like a couple ravenous baby vultures screaming from the nest, "feed me!" are my alcohol/smoking beasts.....I was the carnivorous mother feeding them all this time, but I'm never returning to the nest! 0637, California...24 more!

Re: scones, I personally them *stones*
A relation of the Rock Cake.

At the risk of stirring things for tea, the water must go on to the tealeaves boiling, to extract the full flavour. Adding milk first would lower the temperature and create an inferior beverage.
Case rests m'Lud.

I don't honestly know what is wrong with the tea at AA meetings...how can it be so consistently bad??? you'd have thought that just by the laws of probability one of the methods to make it would work once in a while.
Of course, I am totally grateful for what I get

(((Sunny))) I totally agree with Suze & Jo that it wasn't a negative post.
You are so intuitive and you know what you need to do to help you and your family.
Love & hugs to you.......

Hmmm, perhaps I should put more thought into my tea preparation.

In Australia, Melbourne anyway where I'm from, our AA coffee, tea, cookies and birthday cakes are usually pretty awesome. I have actually been to meetings where they are bad and people almost riot. Not really, but it's pretty serious business....I used to do the coffee and cakes commitment fairly often and I would not have DARED bring anything but a perfect mud cake or chocolate cookies...chocolate ripple biscuits were always fairly inexpensive and a huge crowd pleaser.

(Hmmm....I wonder if I can get chocolate ripple biscuits here to make a chocolate ripple cake? Nick would lose his mind....Aussies? It's pretty awesome huh? ).
