One Year & Over Part 51
Belated congratulations FBL!
FG I guess you need to consider whether you issue is having too much to do or being better organised. If it is the latter, then Gilmer has a great suggestion there. ( thanks Gil, I like the 'triage' idea)
If it is the former, the maybe you need to look at what you can do to pare off the excess. Are there aspects of your job that you can delegate to others? ( is the boss still overly reliant on you because of his wife's drinking? If so perhaps it overdue time for a heart to heart?) what are the out of work activities? Can you begin to pass up, say no? Make suggestions of alternative 'volunteers?' Or even, lean on others rather than carry a burden yourself?
Only you know the answers/ options. PM me if you want X
IP I hope the channels you need to go through are not too convoluted x

Thanks Sassy. At a meeting tody- topic,'sponsorship' was weird (there is an account in COMarch'16 fyi) I was approached my an old timer- lady, who does not like men much. She told me I showed a lot of wisdom for one so young to AA. To me- this is common sense. I am not a sad sack...I laugh and pursue happiness with out chemicals now. I suppose I do not trust the premise of happiness being a reward, as often there is not one. A fine balance between cynicism and realism.
However as I shared with my psychologist, a giant, overweight guy who has a Ned Kelly look-I (and thus him) do have the gift of beard

Andy, so glad to hear that things have been a little easier for you and Mrs Terrific!
Gilmer, great advice to FG and for all of us actually.
I am glad that your soberversary was not marred by a long and painful dental appointment FBL.
Enjoy the day all!

Good afternoon Overs.
Gilmer great triage tip.
fbl I'm glad your dental check was quick.
The specialist nurse was very happy with Mrs Terrific's blood work, all the things that should be going up are. She even wanted to schedule an early CAT scan.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Thanks for your great ideas and thoughts everyone
Toots - my boss is very rarely in the office now as he is now on a staged step down to retirement, so I suppose I do have more responsibility, but it's really more of a switch from working mainly for him to working mainly for another boss who has taken on the vast majority of his clients. I never would have thought that I would have warmed to working for this boss, but in actual fat, I find working with her suits me very well indeed, which is really good. I guess I am just aware that I feel I need to step up my capacity and ability more, to be a bit more like I once was.... it's difficult to explain as I know I will never quite be like I once was (anoxic brain injury and all...), but I know I can be a better, more confident and more capable version of myself now. All just one tiny step at a time

Mags, sending you hugs today.
Some very cool weather for this time of year, only 53F here this morning. I love it! Perfect temps for my Sunday morning nature walk.
Have a Super Sunday, overs!

All the best for your anxiety course, Andy.
Thanks overs, I'm feeling a bit better because I'm not doing anything! Once I start walking I get puffed out!
It's hard to believe it's nearly 8.30pm here. The sun is shining and the sky is so blue. It looks beautiful.
Hope next week is good for us all overs xx
