I have a dear old friend from Jr High staying at my house. I told him he cannot drink in my house, since that would be a threat to my sobriety. Let's see if he's drinking when I get home from work. I told him he can drink at a bar or restaurant all he wants, but I don't want alcohol in my home. If he drinks in the house anyway, then he'll have to stay somewhere else. My sobriety has to come before his having a place to stay. 24 more!!!

Good morning all! Sunny again on this beautiful Friday. I don't work Fridays it is (in theory lol) my housework day. It's great not to dread the weekends anymore. No matter what I do no matter how productive I am or am not drinking is not ever an option any more and I'm so happy about that. I feel like I'm entering a new phase now. The acute fear has gone and this is the time that I've previously been at higher risk. You know when the pesky voice plays tricks. I'm being vigilant with myself and doing lots of reading here and making sure that sobriety is my number one and non negotiable. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the idea that this is forever so I try to keep my mind in the present day and live in 24 hour chunks. So in that vain gimme another 24 please! Love to you all ❤❤❤
