Checking in for 24 hours. A bit late as I was absent minded this morning. Focusing on more mundane stuff like calling airports for lost glasses

24 more hours please!
I briefly considered a drink this afternoon . But then I stopped that thought. Act instead. Got so fed up that I went to our manager and asked for help. Not like me. I have been bullied by our resident nasty bully one too many times. Belittled. Treated like a enemy--I never understood why. I usually shut it down, or ignored it, but this time I spoke up about how it was affecting me, and most importantly us. He was quite supportive.
I had to speak up, and did. Whether something got done, or not, I just couldn't go on with this situation as I had been. I asked to be reassigned. He is going to do that, once we get a couple new staff on. Soon! And it's a much better position that I am already doing half of. So I will have minimal contact and no chance of more nastiness.
I am not alone--it's just one of those troubled people that poisons everything.. Others have seen it. Freedom is ahead! Because I am free from alcohol. A drink ? Not a chance. This is the way to live. Had to stop tolerating garbage in my good sober life. I have options today, I love this. Drinking kept me trapped for so long.
So glad to be here with you as I begin my lucky 13.

I'm counting down the hours until my trip back to New Orleans. It'll be good to enjoy the Crescent City again. And with God, AA, and Sober Recovery I'll be able to make some sober memories that'll last a lifetime. 24 more!!!
