15 minutes to go. Oh I am soooo over this heat. We have brought in humungous stand by air cons into the rooms which have seized up air conditioners due to the horrific last 3 days of scorching heat ! It looks like something out of Dr Who or Lost in Space on the east ward !!!!!

Its hot here - 36 or so, but I feel like it's been hotter this summer cos the humidity is lower today - even driving down to the shops was ok.

As long as you are OK Dee, and yes, the lower humidity makes a huge difference for me as well.

Yep hot. BUT 'stralya IS awesome. I can walk down the street in relative safety and not get blown up, shot or arrested without cause. Although not perfect- we have a national health system that saved my life. And the biggie- we are not connected to other countries with borders, wars and arguments. The only armed rebellion on 'stralya's soil (although this is debatable, given the slant on history one takes) was over 150 years ago and we still go on about it.
A young nation with many problems young countries go through- but on the whole a much better place to live than over them seas- for me that is..

Love you PJ...boy do we need to chat about this....cos I SO don't agree.
Except for the health system bit, which is awesome indeed, and I am so very grateful that it has been there for you love.

And my pleasure Wendy love. Mwaaaaa.

We are getting anther 8-12 inches today into Monday. Going to snow all day and night. I went for a ride around as I needed some gas for the truck(4x4) and if the snowblower or generators need some.
Brought in some wood and I'm resting down by the wood stove.
Watching a couple youtube videos about bush crafting.

Dee, do you still go camping?
Ever watch Ray Mears or got into and minimalist camping?
I have been researching some survival/prep info.
Never hurts to get prepared and learn new things.
I'll try to snap a picture later of the snow building up.

Hi guys

I'm not into camping, never have been. I like my creature comforts and the safety of a cabin or caravan , toilets and showers! I'm such a princess !

I'd be scared of wild animals, snakes , bears ( even thought we don't have them )
Drop bears maybe ...Dee lol.

I'm keen on the idea of a hotel at the beach, looking at the beach, walking on it after sunset or as the sun comes up, but no heat and no sand please....princess here too....

Oh...and I'll swim in the water if there are NO jellyfish. Terrified of those things.

Oh, and Snooz.....I terrified my friends growing up (for fun ) telling them that the horrendously scary sounds they could hear were wild pigs....have you heard koalas? Man, they are scary. Sure, they look nice, but those sounds....lordy.

(This was at Phillip Island).
