A close friend offended me and I am not to happy about it,he was pretty drunk at the time what way should I leave it...just cut contact and wait till he stops drinking as he does it nearly ever day along with smoking dope....

You may need to examine your friendships more closely. Having a close friend that smokes weed and drinks isn't generally a good thing with helping to stay sober. However, it's ultimately your decision as to how you want to handle this friendship.

So many different things to deal with in all of this...I wish there was an easy answer but I think cutting contact with him is best and when he is sober he will get in touch to do other things that don't involve alcohol...

Thanks for the kindness friends. Just to update. I've been clothes shopping with my girls (hard hard work but a great distraction and bought me half the day). I'm back now and going to my mum in laws for tea. Anything to stay safe. I will get to bed sober tonight that is my vow for the day.
