I am sure there are many people here who can give you good advice Tink; unfortunately I am not one of them, being single. You might like to start a thread love. I think it could be really helpful. ♥
Air in my lungs, I'm on the right side of the dirt, eating Cheetos and watching a Matt Damon movie. Life is good.
I'd like 24 more hours of sobriety and one more Matt Damon movie please.
10:05 pm in San Diego, California.
Love to all ~
Lillian (who has orange fingers from the Cheetos)

LOL cleaning out the fridge.
Another 24 for me please.
Still very vulnerable to slipping here. Another AA meeting this morning so I'm gonna go for it. Need to be surrounded by people in recovery for inspiration. I really want to push through the early days this time and get in a good phase of recovery. It's a slog for now but I'm prepared for the fight.
Well done milestones. Particularly Redberryjuniper - a week! I hope to join you there in a couple of days. Keep going friend 😊

And is it not 4 weeks for you tomorrow jo?
28 days is such a huge milestone....it is going to make you feel empowered and proud love.
And we are proud of you every day. ♥
And aussie, go girl. After you have finished the fridge, you might want to pop over here and do mine.

I'm sorry I had it wrong love....and you came straight back here right?
My massive slip kept me away from here for 6 weeks.
So that means tomorrow is 7 days maybe....and that's fantastic. That's so fantastic.
More love to you. ♥

Its a pretty common phenomenon. Firstly, sobriety is a personal concern so you need to take whatever steps are necessary for self-preservation. No exceptions ! My partner does drink but she is a very light drinker. The most she will ever drink is 2 glasses of wine. In the first 6 months of my sobriety, she refrained from drinking at home. Therafter, only after asking whether it was fine to drink in front of me. Nowadays, it isnt an issue. But as I said she is a very light drinker.
I would recommend that you broach the subject with your partner and explain the importance of trigger avoidance. Hopefully, he is understanding and will simply not drink in front of you.
Good luck !
