Went to a luncheon w/ some former drinking buddies but only there for food of course! After, we went to sports bar to watch RM vs Atletico in UEFA final but by half time was already irritated being there coz my driver was already wasted & barely watching the game. Told him I was ready to leave but was swerving all over road while same time looking on his phone. His gf was pissed that he's driving in that condition but kept insisting on calling her, My part in all this? Should have stayed home & gone to an evening mtg instead, however I'm not going to bed angry @ myself but will use this as a learning experience & use wisdom next time. Most importantly,sobriety is still intact

While you may be wondering what is going on since I didn't name a cake, Boston cream pie is actually a sponge cake filled with custard or cream filling and then topped with chocolate. Keep up the great work!

Congrats to the milestoners ! Each of you have done well and should be proud of your achievement ! I always imagined it as adding a brick into a wall of resolve and commitment to stay sober. So, here's to another brick in the good wall !
Today I'll be having lunch with the family friend who has cancer. There has already been some nervous backchat about what to say when we all meet (there is a bunch of us). Armed with the wonderful advice I received here, I mentioned to my wife that we simply act naturally and if the family friend brings up her illness then we can offer support otherwise no mentioning !
Another 24 hours of loving kindness, compassion and sobriety pls ! Its 9:21am here !
