24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 118
Thanks guys......I can't go out for a movie or a walk tonight.....I'm a single parent.....once I pick my son up from school at 3pm (which is in 10 mins time) then I'm busy with him until 8pm which is when he goes to bed......after school activity, homework, music practice, eat dinner, shower, teeth, read book in bed etc. I usually do it when he's in bed or at his father's. Once he's in bed I can't go out a buy any because I would never ever leave him in bed asleep and go out. I usually buy it during the day when he's at school and pop the cork once he's in bed. But there's none here at the moment.
Big sigh.....the battle goes on....

Work was fruitful, bountiful & productive. We either met or beat our previous numbers which was very cool since this was my first time working in this particular dept. I am exhausted but in good way & will fall asleep any min w/o knowing it. 24 of grace pls

One thing I've tried (unsuccessfully) to find on SR is a songwriting partner. I really love spending time writing music but it is ultimately a solitary exercise for me. Collaboration by correspondence is pretty easy with modern writing tools, and I would enjoy trying it. A writing partnership is a lot of what I was looking in a keyboard player for the band. Yes, someone to actually tap on the keys when we're playing live is nice, but what I really want is to work with another writer.
I read a story about relapse in the April edition of Grapevine which I could so relate to. It reminded me that just because I'm sober does not mean that I don't still have my alcoholic disease. So here's to 24 more relapse-free hours of sobriety!!!

Hi,
A great day of meetings, just felt so good to be with friends and laugh! I sometimes find myself in a meeting so darn happy, then think ...Damn, I'm sober and we're all laughing over the ridiculous things we did when we used. Yep, a Miracle...I'm so happy I'm here today. Thank you to my HP, AA, & each of you here on SR!

Bobbi ~ As I told you, my first ever AA meeting was at a convention, and one member got up and sang her "Thank You God" song. The whole song has about 5 words, and if I can work out what the tune is, I can share it with all of you. It makes me laugh every time I sing it....you have to imagine thousands of people all joining in....
