Early sobriety can be extremely uncomfortable as there are a lot of things going on (learning new coping skills, dealing with emotions differently, finding new ways to spend time, vicious cravings, etc). You both can do it. It takes time and faith that things will get better, but it does. Here is a quote that helped me push through when things got tough.

Had stiches removed & given ok to return to work! Patience later on was really tested when had to fill out forms & fax em over to agency...whoa but did call the lady I'm corresponding w/ but went to VM so will know tomm what maybe missing. 24 of peace pls

Oh boy, I get on the Internet and boom it's 2 hours later! We're going to Kauai on vacation in August. I was checking out golf packages, then that led me to other excursions, etc etc. We've been quite a few times , the last when our son was entering High School that Fall. Excited to go back, I hope it hasn't gotten too developed.Soooo ...let me check in for the next 24 hours,

Its almost 5pm here. Stayed sober so far.
If anybody is interested or was wondering..... I chickened out of my first AA meeting today (a lunchtime meeting). I had a full blown panic attack this morning just thinking about it. Im not sure why this happened. I will try again tomorrow :-(
