Good morning!
Maybe a social thread is a good idea?

My question about a social thread is can we sustain both? I think it's important to keep this thread going. If the litter thinks we can do it then I am in.

Might not make me popular but if someone is struggling or having a problem I feel like we always drop everything to focus on that. If someone wants to talk about something and didn't bring it up I am not sure how we are supposed to help. I haven't used a crystal ball in years.

I will be the first to admit I use it socially on the weekends. I go to 2 AA meetings a week and 3 outpatient group meetings. I like to catch up with friends on the weekend and I consider you all friends. I will pm anyone missing and have had several of you inquire about me when I am missing. I also know if I had an issue and needed desperately to talk recovery there are several hundred threads I could do it on.If someone who has been part of the group and didn't think they can talk about recovery on this thread then that is on them and not on us.

Della - you said exactly what I am thinking. Thank you for putting it so well.
We are a litter and littermates drop everything to be there for each other. We are also friends and an important part of recovery is discovering things that make you feel good that you lost track of while drinking. Who better to share that with then your litter friends. Recovery is not just address issues and problems that arise but also making a new, sober life.
Love you Della.

You're right, Della and BBQ. I don't really think we need another thread. I was just wondering if anyone else did. We can just tone the adult stuff down a bit here.

BBQ- I ended up going to sleep and he was nodding off and fighting sleep in the living room. He did eventually go to bed. I hope today is a better day for him. He never got annoying. So that was nice!

I hope you have fun at the auction and the train crawl! That is great your husband gave up alcohol for lent.

Mary- your trip to the coast sounds relaxing. I am glad your boys had fun and thanks for sharing the picture of your granddaughter.

Kitty- congrats on the job offer and the new chapter of your life!!

Good morning y'all!

Sis B have fun at the auction! Hope you don't get caught up in the moment and come home with a dozen goats! Ha!

Mary...love the photo! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Soberwolf....i know you're a pretty good cook, were you shopping for new kitchen gadgets?

Supposed to get into the 80s today yay! I used to look forward to the weekend so I could drink un-interrupted....now I look forward to the weekend because there's so many things I enjoy and want to accomplish! I will NEVER get tired of waking up with no hangover and no regrets!!! Woohoo!

Love you guys! Hope everyone has a beautiful Saturday!

Good morning litter!

Actually slept in for once, it's 750ish and I barely opened my eyes. How unreal! Feel great though, looking forward to an awesome day.

Love you all

Waking up without a hangover is a gift. I watch movies with a hungover character and cringe. And the whole day ahead- without thoughts of "when's the next drink" or "I need a nap," but only "ok, what to do with my time?"
