Today's food of the day is Noodle Ring. I am not familiar with this, so I'll give you some info. If this is something you've made or eaten, maybe you can enlighten me.
A noodle Ring is a dish of pasta, cheese, eggs cooked in a ring mold.
Common fillings for the center of the ring includes creamed chicken, vegetables or other ingredients of your choice.
Any kind of pasta can be used for making noodle ring.
Creating a pasta ‘nest’ with a cooked food center has been around for centuries.
One of the mid-century recipes of noodle ring is from The American Women’s Cook Book, which was published in 1948.
It's kinda making me hungry....

Zencat, it's 6:00pm and no rain down here yet. I read on AOL that some people lost power up in Northern California this morning. I don't want that ( though we have a Fanastic generator my Dad bought for us), BUT I am SOOOO looking forward to the rain!!Congratulation Zeppodog and the rest of our friends celebrating today.

Too many celebration dances for an image! I’ll post a video instead – Cascabel mentioned the San Xavier del Bac Mission which I used to visit. It’s a beautiful place and important to the spiritual life of many people in that area. One of the many ways it’s special is in bringing together the Tohono O’Odham, Pascua Yaqui, Mexican- and Anglo-American cultures. This isn’t the best video for viewing the architecture and sacred art, but I like it because it shows the people.
