Setting Boundaries
"Never be afraid to tread the path alone. Know your path and follow it wherever it may
lead you. Do not feel you have to follow in someone else's footsteps."
Unknown
The above quote is interesting but what it means to me is " Be exactly who you are". Don't
compromise who you are as a person.
One of the best ways I have found to do that is not to let things that cause unhappiness
into my life.
However, when I take a close look at my life I have actually opened the door to unhappiness
in many small and perhaps unknowing ways.
If I am aiming for ways to be happy which I am, if real happiness is my goal which it is, if I
want to be true to myself and be happy then I must protect myself.
I need to have some clear boundaries.
Today I set boundaries when it comes to what I will and will not allow in my life.
Since getting clean and sober I have choices now. I have values now. I know whom
and what I do not want to be surrounded by.
I recognize what I call spiritual pollution and I don't stand for it anymore. I get myself the
heck out of there.
I release anyone & anything that doesn't support my happiness or the path I am on.
I have realized that no one can take my peace away unless I let them. But I also do
not have to be around people who threaten my peace of mind.
I know there are going to be situations in which I am not comfortable but today I will not lower
my personal standards, or my own integrity just to be liked by others.
Especially if it is dangerous to my recovery.
Any boundaries we need to set today?

On Palm Sunday Christians celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before his death and resurrection. For many Christian churches, Palm Sunday, often referred to as "Passion Sunday," marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday.
The Bible reveals that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him by waving palm branches and covering his path with palm branches. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, he begins his journey to the cross.
