Courage- I have to disagree with Toots on this one, although I have to give her points for rhyming what she said. I found cold-turkey was the best way to go with the cigs. It can be hard for a few days, but it gets better pretty quickly and is so worth it to get off of them. Cutting back is like slow and painful torture, you get enough nicotine to stay hooked but not enough to be comfortable. E-cigs, gum, patches etc just keep you hooked on the nicotine. Kinda like switching from vodka to wine IMO. Anyway, I highly recommend the no smoking thread here on SR: http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...-part-4-a.html. Feel free to come join in even if you're still smoking, but planning on quitting or thinking about quitting. There's tons of support there.

Your sister needs to call the police. Then she NEVER should EVER see him again. She should file for a PFA (protection from abuse), then have an attorney sue this mf'r for the medical costs and pain and suffering....TODAY!!

Your Mom should be told if that helps to deter her from seeing him again and it won't cause her pain and suffering beyond what we deserve as parents. Wouldn't you want to know if it were one of your kids..

Carlos she had an AVO against him and it's not worth the paper it's written on. Even the police told me that .nothing can happen unless she acts ..and she wont ( sigh)

I cant tell my Mum at the moment She just had a cancer cut out of her chin . They didn't get it all and they had to go back in ;-( . She looks like she's been in a car accident , poor love .
Dads worried sick about her so now isn't the time .

But i will tell her for sure when she's feeling better..
