Taking little Tixie back to vet for a checkup. But more spots like the one that was biopsied have shown up. I pray the Doc will say 'Let's keep an eye on it!" I hope the stupid cone comes off...she will be so happy about that!!

((IP)), prayers for Tixie today.

Rust, just left DQ, interesting...what's the skinny?

V, I've always wondered what "baited breath" means? Is it anything like my ex would call each other's breath on, PP. Which was "Permeation Plus" lol

MJ, please pass me a bowl...I've brought some HOT sauce, anyone? Brought some ear plugs too...kidding

Bloss, Happy Anniversary! I love this bus to Soberville also.

NG, age can find us hot under the collar too

Had my drivers license suspended for 6 months a few days ago, so I may be a more frequent traveler. Not for the next 20 days though, having an ankle vice grip installed today. Best part, if I just don't drink ODAAT I will never have to experience anything like this ever again.

PP IWLSAST? and even though you explained, I have no clue.

Baited Breath...In great suspense; very anxiously or excitedly.

Sorry about your license; sheesh, guess this took a long time to be put into place. I've been there. It's not fun. But the good news is that you're sober now.

Haha, PP = (1) a strong aroma that shocks you
(1) from above exiting my ex's mouth at times in the mornings (okay, me too)

It was just a little inside joke we had, slightly mean, but funny to us.
Like....Woe, that is some serious PP you are brewing

V, yes I was sentenced this week, slightly over a year following the event. It is a long story that I have decided to blog about during my isolation of sorts. It was a 3rd DUI in 10 years and my BAC was 0.00, no illegal drugs in my system, only a prescribed med taken as directed. That "taken as directed" thing has nailed me a few times in life. It was 180 percocet's taken as directed following major surgery that lowered my resistance and led to a relapse following 11.5 years sober 14 long years ago.

Thanks V. and All,

Tixie went to the vet again and she still has to wear the cone/hat. He says the wound looks good and gave me more cream to use. She sees him again next Tuesday!! Thanks for caring!! It means a lot. I had to put down my Cat John John who was 17 about 2 years ago. I think I have more time with Tixie. Will write more and catch up later as she just jumped up on my lap. Tixie says hi to her SR friends!

To, IWILAST, I am so sorry this all happened to you and you are still here. Things could have happened much worse and I'm sure at this time you are realizing that. It's a killer, this Alcoholism we have, and I pray soon that there will be something we can take that removes the urge to drink. In the meantime I will be praying for you and thinking good thoughts that your sentence will not be too harsh, or than you can get used to the bracelet. It's a warning to you and to all of us. Someone reading your experience may change their mind about drinking, That's a part of Sobriety I find is awesome. Many prayers for you!! Ipanema

ip is trix embarased wearing the cone?

and iwl,

the greed is over the games the dealers go though trying to snap up the best items,

the gossip, the trying to flim-flam their way 1st in line,

and strong-arming others buyers.

it's a part of the business, though lets be civil people!

To Rusty,

LOL! Yes, she was especially embarrassed on Easter. The other cats looked at it and said, "is that all ya got for a hat girl"?

Cats are so hilarious!!! I think they find great entertainment in seeing their peers with that cone on their head. Hope your kitty is doing okay Ipanema.

Iwl - don't know if it's ear plugs or nose plugs we'll be needing if we are eating chili. Maybe just a gas mask (no pun intended).

A balmy 44 here today, so leave the swimsuits at home if we are going to the beach.

I'm glad you guys picked me up after my second ever AA meeting - and I LOVED IT! I love my family and friends outside of AA, but I am finding another place, that I can, too, call "home".

So, where we going - the crockpot is full of chili, the heat is up to snuff on the bus - so who fixed it anyway? Wasn't me. V - did you fix the heat? Didn't know you were a mechanic.

Cool and cloudy - but a still a nice day for a ride on the bus with my dear friends!

Hmmm nogard usually does these things, but I think IWLSAST and Rusty are pretty handy as well. I'm good with computers; do we have wifi on the bus???

Where would you like to go next Marjoram? Seeing that you cooked and all, your choice love. ♥

Can we go somewhere that we can have a picnic? Maybe somewhere that we can sit by a river enjoy the sun on our face, the peace and quiet of nature, and the joy of our friends here on the bus? It's cool here at 50 degrees. So, we may want to head south and pick up some b.t.u.'s. (Besides, with eating chili, might be a good idea to sit outside for awhile).

Rusty -just you laughing at that quote from Ipanena makes me laugh, too. We can all picture it, can't we?

How about North Carolina - supposed to be 86 today and sunny. I'm sure we can find some beautiful country to sit and have a picnic. Travel along the Blue Ridge Parkway.....I can see it now!

That's perfect! I see us all sitting there - some wearing cones, some wearing crazy golf hats. But, all of us just relaxing enjoying our day. Pure serenity....ahhhhh...I love it!
