For those With Less Than Two Weeks Sober Part 5
5 for me, here I am again Drank 2x in the past 2 months... but no more. Headed to a meeting at 5:30, the one that I think I mentioned a while back, everyone there is 15+ years sober. Facinates me the experience (AND SUCCESS!) they now have with sobriety. I want that :o)
Happy Saturday, and happy to be sober today.

Hi Pemulis,
Congrats on 2 days sober! I'm new at recovery, and new to this forum;a little over 2 weeks. I have been reading all the posts on the forums and the sharing of people here has really helped me with the loneliness I've been having in my recovery. I've seen that we all have the desire for sobriety in common, and in that, we are not alone. I am glad you are here. :ghug3

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks for me. I am having cravings but I won't act on them. They are just thoughts.
I am so exhausted today. But I know it will get better if I hang in there.
Grateful to be sober!
I couldn't imagine waking up with a hangover on top of all this other stuff.
Not going back there today!

I automatically clicked on this thread, and then realised, I'm on day 15! Yay!
Thanks for being here everyone. I have had to return before, but I hope not to return again.
All the best for everyone starting out in this thread. One day at a time!

Day 6 for me. It's tough but what is working is going to a meeting every day at noon before I go to work at two. It isn't easy, I'm not comfortable, yet I can relate and it helps keep me sober for the next twenty four hours so it works.
All the best to those working so hard one day at a time in very early sobriety just like me. I'm still too tired and foggy to post much, but I think about you.
I come and read on this board at night after work and it helps.

Well, I just found this site and I'm really hoping this can be a good tool for me. I first started this journey on Jan. 30 and have relapsed 3 times, so now my new date is 10-10-08...that's a good date, I'd like to keep it.
Forward we go...side by side-Rest In Peace

Day 6 down and this is usually a restless time for me after work. I have craving for a drink, but my meeting today really does stay with me and I know there is another meeting waiting for me tomorrow. I just don't have
to drink in between the two. This I am sure I can do for tonight. Right now thats the only thing important enough to concern myself with. Now will some one just come and shut my mind up...it just loves to go on and on and on....
