Wow, Reality!!!
Came home from my homegroup tonight, my wife was upset. Our 16 year old cat was ran over tonight. Come home to see the cat in a box kinda took me back a bit. Just had to vent!!!

Yeah, the kids were upset, my son shut down, I wasn't home. Everything has calmed down , Realization that it was an accident has set in, but 16 years, my little dude has survived everything til now. Grieving sucks for the moment. Worst part was taking his collar off tonight, I really didn't need to see that. Thanks for the hugs!!

Mack, Good to see you brother, thanx Watching my wife and kids go through this proccess is the worst part of it all. The gift of course will come, just don't see it yet. It's there though.
sending out kitty prayers and meditations to (((you and yours)))... wow 16 years!!! well he certainly will get his kitty wings. i am so sorry for your loss. animals are the best buddies ever! love-alice
My youngest son was there when the cat was hit and the dog was hit.
Both times.
Twisted at my heart to see him shut down.
Paryers for you all.
Our cat is now 13 and the dog is 2. The first cat my son was 8, the dog he was 19. He shut down more with the dog. I am thinking the younger children maybe get over things faster?
