I always feel positive when reading the time zones of everyones post. Some have finished their day, some are starting. Me? I'm still in today, and it fits marvelous.

I love the way support seems to be the number one priority on SR...
I called to check on someone today and they actually called me back just to say they were doing just fine.... The trust we learn here is amazing....

Encouragement has to be next in line, Amy. Just the number of views alone, remind me. " I am not alone anymore."

Views are the number of people that checked out a particular thread. It is next to the replys. For example people have checked to see this thread about 340 times. This is why replys can be misleading. Many people are intrested but, haven't built up courage to reply. It looks to me Amy that people check everyday to get a positive spin. And, of course that is very positive for us also. Beats the heck out of times we thought nobody cared what we thought.

Positive Things

Hi,
I'm still new. But, I'll throw some positive things out that are happening in my life right now. Both my oldest son and my oldest step-son made the Honor Roll this year in school. It's the first grade it's available to them.

I don't normally count my sober days. I barely have time. But, it's been 3 years and 5 months since my last drink. I first quit in 1995. But, I've had 3 relapses since. Overall, 95% of that time, I've been sober.

I have a wonderful wife, 2 great sons, 2 great step-sons (yep, 4 of them!) and 2 dogs. So, it's constantly busy. No time to get into much trouble. It wears me down on the depression side now and then and I have to take a timeout, but it's all great!!!

Here's sending out positive vibes to all of you!!!!!

Hi slider, And welcome again. Boy I guess you are busy. Not sure you've seen it but, on Recovery Is Board we have a Pets Thread. We all share pictures of our different pets and how they help with recovery. The 3 years sounds great. I can identify with the ins and outs of the recovery process. I started in 1980 and have 3 years now. I've had some periods of sobriety but, not dealing with my PTSD/depression doomed me. I'd like to thank you so much for sharing with us. Sounds like you've been able to enjoy life without alcohol.

Recovery has a positive affect on all that come in contact with you. The best part, them wanting contact with you.

I like how people at SR don't judge others and are helpful.

I Like how Sober Recovery is a great place for everyone, know matter where they are in their recovery.

I also think everyone is caring, and continuously supporting.

One more, it is great that everyone actually shares how they make through the sometimes daily tribulations of life.

OH! The humor helps alot too!

Thanks for this thread.
Great idea.

Today is a fresh day. Start with a smile. Go ahead, nobody is watching, smile. You know we don't have to be crazy to post here--------BUT, it helps. There I see your smile and your smile is beautiful.

Today can be a good day or a bad day. Either way, we can deal with it together.

Finding out we have choices and learning how to make them. Sometimes this means we have to take a chance that something new will help. Be proud of yourself for taking the steps you are towards recovery. The best choice we can make is to not go it alone. With SR, you're never alone.

Take a moment, relax, take a deep breath, let it out. Even taking a little time for yourself is a positive move.
