Roll call. Who has pets?

I think being with animals is one of the greatest cure for depression. I know my pets have helped. Just hugging them and carressing them makes me feel better. I had a tortue who grew bigger and bigger so I had to give her to a zoo. My favourite pets are cats. I find them mysterious and independant. I have named the ones I ´ve had after the solar system, like Luna, Suria, Jupiter and Mars.
How about you?

I agree Lilya, pets are great. I've always had pets. Cats and dogs. Right now I have this siamese cat that my little girl picked out at the pound when it was a kitten. It's a mix, but still has most of the beautiful markings of the siamese, and big beautiful blue eyes. Many times when I'm feeling blue, being affectionate with KitKat, makes me feel better.

I like how you name your pets Lilya, very exotic. One of favorite kittys was a cat I names WhiskeyBill, because (I think he had some braind damage), he would stagger around like he was drunk.

TexasMamacita,

Welcome to the forum. Your dogs sound precious. I'm sure you pee machine LOL, will get control soon.

I don't own a pet. It own me. It is a cat and we have been together for about 14 years.

She wandered into our apartment one cold evening and my life has never been the same.

I have learned alot from her and I am still taking lessons about unconditional love from her.

She comes when I call her and sleeps in my arms each night.

Her name is Bocephus, but I call her Bo the cat.

My sweeties.

These pets all sound wonderful - but I´m definately a catlover.

I had a black cat called Luna I gave my father. She owned me for some time as she healed me during a very difficult period in my life. Now I have two male cats. One is yellow and white, called Jupiter, a great hunter. The other one is half persian, half shorthair and is orange and brown and is called Shiolin after the great Kung Fu masters... but he is actually too frightened to hunt anything. They sleep together and wake each other up with a kiss. They are too cute and I am definately their slave.

A definate recommendation against depression. I like Kitkat and your cat, Caveman. What does that exotic name mean?
