Used to be an every day smoker
HI Everyone,
What feels like another lifetime ago, I smoked pot every day for about a decade. I have had multiple years of clean time from pot since. I go in spurts. I have chronic back pain and have never found it to help, so I do not get all the hoopla over pain relief. I am kind of glad for that. I just always liked the calming effect I get since I am so high strung. I do still occasionally indulge. Right now I am battling an alcohol addiction and have smoked a couple times to take the edge off.
It is so strange to go from an addict to an very occasional user. Maybe this is why I keep thinking I can control alcohol and failing miserably. My goal is to be totally clean from any substances though. I have just a little bit left of a stash I have held on to for like a year. I cannot bring myself to flush it though. Once it is gone, I am done. No more mind altering for me.
Hang in there! My step daughter was a HEAVY smoker and is now clean as well. It can be done.
