I advertise my business online and the moderators on that site have banned any type of references to marijuana (or any other drugs). People seem to think that marijuana is OK and even socially and professionally acceptable. Ridiculous. I said made statements against using marijuana in a professional setting and against the people doing it for very good reasons. Such as it shoes a lack of integrity and compromises the person doing it both professionally and personally. Even tho the administration of that site started the topic now I am under attack by some "associates" and labeled as judgmental. This is having an impact on both my professional and personal life. I smoked more than my share of connoisseur marijuana back in the day and now I am in long term recovery. I do have an informed opinion as opposed to users and enablers. I also said zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol and if that's judgmental then so be it.
How ironic that I have spoken the truth in accordance with site policy
and now I am being judged and labeled judgmental.
A drug is a drug is a drug.
I have been clean and sober 5 years this month.
Thank you God.

In my opinion the marijuana business is becoming a huge thing in the US. Pot is a big legal money making industry and those who are supporting are being very vocal about it.
I find it very sad

Marijuana has now actually become acceptable on every level of society.
Marijuana has destroyed my whole family.
My brother in his 50s has lung cancer from marijuana abuse
He is a qualified lawyer who has never practiced law or provided for his four
children, instead sponging off his mother and his wife all of his life. Marijuana is his drug of choice.
His two youngest children have been arrested for possession multiple times and also in treatment while still in high school. Marijuana is their drug of choice.
My ex-husband in AA was on the "marijuana maintenance program" and had a history of chronic relapse. When he relapsed he became violent and unstable and caused much emotional and financial wreckage. Marijuana is a drug which leads back to relapse and people who use it are addicts. Period.
They are using it to get high and the act of smoking anything defies logic and self preservation.
Marijuana just as dangerous as any other drug. It can bankrupt a persons life
on every level and destroy families. It is potentially even more dangerous because it has become so acceptable and even more insidious because the grips of psychological dependence and addiction is much deeper because of
the acceptability and self justification.
The legalization of marijuana is going to cause a lot more people to become addicts and alcoholics and some will die.
Marijuana supporters would be outraged by the statements I have just made.
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it is a duck.

Well, seems like I'm not a marijuana supporter then.
Because I actually agree with you.
MJ is sneaky, is not honest like heroin, which is a poison plain and simple.
MJ is deceiving, plays nice, "it's a medicine". And then... we all know what happens.
I've been reading many posts from MJ addicts.
Lots of young people "dabbing". I did not even know what dab was until yesterday. Luckly we don't have this stuff here in my country.
I feel lucky I smoked only low THC weed. People who smokes high THC high quality bud seems to have worse withdrawal symptoms. Dabbers are in real trouble to quit.
My first week is almost over, and it was rough. It was hell in some moments. But I could sleep since night 1. I could eat since day 1. But I've reading some posts that makes my withdrawal seem like a walk in the park. People are really struggling. Weed seems like a hard drug in some of these posts. People who can't sleep or eat for several days. Having headaches all day for a whole week.
But hey, it's just a plant! Safer then peanuts, right?

Still fatal.
