Well it must be on your mind D. Have you seen a doctor about stopping drinking? That was a first step for me, even if I didn't get sober right away.

Don't be ashamed, doctors get so many people lying about their drinking, they really appreciate the ones who are honest.

No, because I'm afraid of the results. Thanks FG.

The terror and fear created from alcohol is the worst. A couple hours of numb followed by 22 hours of ick.

It will get better with time away from alcohol, at least that was my experience.

I kept having horrible dreams when I drank regularly of feeling isolated and facing impending doom. Our unconscious knows alcoholism can be worse than death and expresses its ugliness in our dreams. Well that is how I felt.

I drank everyday too. Drinking messes up tons of parts of your brain. Unfortunately, recovering from drinking also forces your brain to cry out for alcohol, and repair itself.... and nightmares are a common way it does that. Try to find a psychiatrist who knows his/her stuff, and get some good anti-anxiety / anti-insomnia meds. Also, I hear alot of B vitamins can promote more vivid dreams. So far, internet research confirms it, but you always have to take that with a grain of salt. Meats, fish and dairy are all high in that. And of course, come up with a plan to quit drinking. Good luck!

Darcal, why don't you stop drinking for 90 days and see if they stop? I don't think it can harm, only help you.
