Thank You, God ~ Part 26
Thank you, God, for those who share the Good News and who reach out to others, guiding them toward You.
Today I will focus on the passage that, "When we ordinary followers of Jesus extend forgiveness, we are filled with a grace and power that transcend our hostile thoughts of resentment, remorse, and recrimination," This copied from the section on Willingness to Forgive, author Greg Anderson of, "Cancer and the Lord's Prayer."

Aly, I'm happy to hear you say that, I know sometimes your relationship is a struggle but I've been thinking about my parents a lot lately, what I wouldn't give to have them around again to talk to
Thank you God for our parents and anything they shared with us to make us the adults we are today.

Thank you God for the love that's been shown towards me on Father's Day, I remember feeling so alone and unworthy 15 years ago on this day. Thank you God for lifting me up to be the husband and father that I'm still becoming, a work in progress.

Thank you God for new friendships, getting to know someone much better due to circumstances out of our control. Nothing happens by accident God, everything is according to your plan.

Thank you God for our ability to smile and show kindness towards each other under most circumstances. Thank you God for daily contact with other people if we desire it.
Thank you God for the means to take Luke to the vet this afternoon. Just a check up and to get some preventative meds. Thank you God for Luke's health at 11 yo, although I'm seeing his arthritis in his hips and elbow, but he's dealing with it without seeming in pain. Thank you God for our Luke.
Thank you, God, for dealing with me firmly and kindly about leaving the past in the past.
Thank you, God, for putting these words in my heart and mind; compassion, grace, patience and love. Thank you that they are helping me heal relationships all around me, most importantly that with myself.
Thank you, God, for showing me that I cannot give what I do not have.
Thank you, God, that your mercies are made new every morning. I need those mercies.

Thank you God for our studies and discussion on racism. Thank you God for holding our hearts, minds, and souls open to change. Thank you God for the speakers who shared their experiences.
Thank you, God - for guiding me, for helping me to see that I can stay calm, for the plan to better manage my anger.
Of course I must forgive, but I won't forget and I won't let my guard down again.
Thank you, God - that I was blessed with parents, who really cared about their children; even using tough love when needed. I am one of the lucky ones.
