First thank you for the Congrads email But also when signing into i notice in B-Days im not listed, No biggie tho. ;-)
Well its been sometime and been tested during my Clean and Sober Journey's and Travels up to the present "TODAY" Celebrating 27yrs.
From 25+ yrs of incarceration,30yrs of using, Family issues,Medical Ive been truly tested< daughter who Ive raised since birth winning Full custody in my first year of sobriety and raised by myself, also 8 year old grand daughter, who i love with heart n soul.
Daughter shy of Dec.2017 i had suspected doing drugs ;-( Dec. she failed to come home leaving her child behind ;-( Heart broken..Dad who's a Jack Donkey took custody of grand daughter ;-( Prior my medical 14 years with crohns colitas ,May 2017 hospitalized,released,week later small stroke,high blood pressure,small tumor seen in stomach,heart stents inserted,and 2mos ago diagonosed type2 diabetes, Dang when it rain it poors..
Now if that isn't being tested i don't know then, BUT threw it all Ive remained Clean and Sober..
But i have to also add i am such an a emotional wreak started counseling which i also recommend, sometimes meeting are not enough, just my opinion ,but what works for one just may not for another.
Updated daughter has got clean attending meetings and were fighting for daughter and grand daughter and its been hell and continues to be because now they have taken her 4hrs away aka:moved ;-(
Ive been fight for grand fathers rights which grand parents have very little BUT I won to be joined in ;-) Yeaaa
Keeping it simple list ;-)
So what im greatfull for, Hummm
1) Being and staying Clean n Sober "NOT picking up NO matter what"
2) Being above ground ;-)
3) Stepping up my Meetings and going to Counseling
4) Daughter getting clean and on the right path "Its a good start"
5) Being able to talk to grand daughter who validates how much she loves me and i how much i love her hoping to see one another asap.
6) One Minute,Hour,Day at a time
7) Having positive people to share with in and out of recovery
8) Continuing to work on me a task within itself
9) Family
10)Being true to thy self

you have to put yourself in the birthdays - it's not automatic,. No slight or offence intended

Go to calendar> add new event> recurring event and add yourself to todays bday list.

I'd do it for you but may 4 is already been and gone where I live
