While finally clearing out emails, I was reminded of this forum. Amazing how it's been four years already since I've last been here and how much has changed since.

Went from the torture of living with an alcoholic to buying a home of my own. Got a great job, met a wonderful man (he actually helped me to find the house) and his crazy (in a good way) family.

XAH has moved to a different state, still up to his same old; thankfully, no longer my problem.

Unfortunately, my family has suffered several losses of loved ones, including my beloved Grandmother and my best friend companion dog Ebbie.

As Grandma used to say, everything has a balance and bitter is there to balance the sweet. One thing that will always be in my mind as instrumental in my own recovery is the loving support I've immediately received through this forum.

I couldn't have started on this road without you.
