Six Months tomorrow!
Finally, after a relapse that lasted nearly four years...I made it back. Nearly didn't.
Today was the funeral of a young cousin of mine, died of cirrhosis. Will light a candle for him. Please say a prayer for Barry.
And last year, my friend (another Barry), who drove me to my first rehab, across Lake Ponchatrain, in '98...died with a needle in his arm last year around this time.
Hang on to sobriety if you're new. Just. Hang. On.
It's an incredible ride.
It's a beautiful way of life.
