Thank You God ~ Part 17
Thank you God for always being there when I often seek Your plan for me.
Thank you God for today, which is all I have, and Promise that if I stay sober things will work out as You see fit for me.
Thank you God for joy even in the midst of angst.
Thank you God for showing me all I can learn from SR and it's wonderful people who post her. God Bless them all.

Thank you God for not just giving me not just a second chance but another chance.
Thank you God for giving me a family that cares. A wife that will not see her husband be defeated by a meaningless liquid substance. Kids who love me no matter what.
Thank you for allowing me in spite of failures (too many to number) to keep my job, my family my church.
Thank you Lord for the protection you gave me and those innocent drivers around me the 100's of times when i drove under the influence.
Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to through my own sinful experiences enter into the lives of others with a message that yes this can be done.
Thank you most of all for Jesus Christ who through his perfect life satisfied all your requirements for holiness and righteousness and then as my substitute died on the cross for me.

Thank You God for being with me the entire 1,400 miles of the solo-drive. Thank you for keeping me sane and sober. Thank you for using new territories in Nature this past week to speak so much love to me-- flowers, fields, skies, birds, deer, trees, crops, rivers, rain, stars, sunrises and sunsets. Thank You for keeping temptation off of me. Thank you for friends to see along the way, places to pray and folks to worship with. Sound mechanical performance. Strength to unload all the stuff yesterday. Snuggling through all the Harry Potter movies on the couch, sandwiched between hubby and dog. Keeping the rain off long enough to grill salmon for dinner. Happy sleep. Your protections.
