With each passing day my gratitude grows..
Yesterday I celebrated 3 weeks clean. I never thought I could make it that long without a single drug. I realize now that the only limitations I have are the make-believe ones I self-impose on myself. I'm grateful that I reached a point of desperation where I could no longer go on living as I was. Each day my list of things I grow grateful for grows. Here are just a few:
* 3 weeks sober
* a new job that I start tomorrow
* signed up for college classes starting in January.
* time spent with family
* time spent in meetings
* I started reading again.
*I can remember every day.
* I could probably pass a urine test by now (if I needed to)
* I don't crave drugs on a regular basis.
* I'm focusing on future goals and how to better myself.
* I have hope.
* I'm making new friends in recovery and feel I have a purpose for living now.
