Gratitude

I'm grateful for the fact that I didn't drink last night. It was pretty close.

Good for you andyroo72!! No regrets this morning ... always made me feel relieved I didn't let that voice win.

I'm grateful for this thread. I accidentally posted it to someone else's thread and a nice mod gave me my very own thread! :=] I'm going to use it regularly, but if anyone else wants to jump in, comment or give me cookies then feel free.

I'm grateful that the sun has come over the hill and my ears are warming up finally.

Thank you :=] Cookies for breakfast!

I'm grateful for cookies :=] I'm grateful that (according to me) winter is now half way done, so it's only going to get warmer. I'm grateful that the sometimes things that really bug me in at night somehow disappear when I wake up in the morning.

I'm depressed and I don't feel grateful about anything. I suppose I'm grateful that I've realised that I'm depressed. Just maybe.

I'm sorry you're feeling depressed this morning Andy. Treat yourself gently today, maybe make a nice meal or take a walk. Try and get out of your own head for a while.

Thank you :=] Still feeling ropey this morning, but you're right- I am totally forgetting some basic self-care stuff.

I'm grateful I get to listen to opera on my way to the hospital this morning. I'm grateful I'm seeing my shrink tomorrow. I'm grateful it's not completely freaking freezing this morning :=]

Ahem, potted plants :=] Succulents actually, I enjoy their rubbery alien-ness.

Today I'm grateful I didn't get run over by a rubbish truck, although it was kinda close. I'm really grateful that spring is on its way. I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've got.

Today I'm grateful for this thread, because I haven't been feeling grateful for anything of late and it's still right here! I'm grateful that spring seems to have come early. I'm grateful that I feel a bit clear headed than I have for the last week or so. I'm grateful for the internet- it's a resource that I take so for granted.

Hey Terry3- well done on two months :=] Looks like we're at similar sober times.

This fine warm(ish) morning I'm grateful that I think I've finally found my voice. I'm grateful that I'm learning to be kind to myself. I'm grateful that I've stopped smoking pot.

This fine Sunday morning I'm grateful for the clear blue sky. I'm grateful that I have a good friend who I don't have to try to relate to. I'm grateful that I seem to be putting some distance between me and other friends who aren't so useful.

Today I'm grateful that I'm seeing my counsellor. There's stuff on my mind :=] I'm grateful for the people here on SR- even if I don't feel like posting there's an infinite amount of past wisdom here. I'm grateful (again!) that this winter is so incredibly mild.

Hi there and thank you for asking. It went well- I really connect with her and she annoys me a bit which I think is a good mix lol We're touching on some really heavy issues for me, so the rest of the day I was a bit of a space cadet. How're things with you?

Today I'm grateful for my phone. I'm grateful that I have somewhere warm and snug to sleep. I'm grateful for my step-father: he's just a lovely man.

I think many people dealing with heavy issues go through the same thing Andy. I know I sure did, actually took me a few days to process my feelings.

These sessions can be draining, but so worth it! Good looking out for yourself. You're facing this head on. You should be so proud of yourself, I admire your strength.

I'm well, thank you for asking!
