Humility and Gratitude 1000%
I am grateful to have my two sons here with me for the summer. It was not long ago when I had no communication with them whatsoever for 5 long years due to my relationship with alcohol, yet this morning I woke up and found my two boys nestled in thier bed in my extra room - instead of bottles of booze. I am grateful and humbled each time I look in thier innocent eyes to know that my sobriety came from a higher source than I, God, and that is what keeps me grounded. I will always remember my last drunk, but it is not only that, that keeps me sober. It is what I have to lose and that is what I have found in me and in all around me.
The 1st summer was 2 weeks, the 2nd summer is a month, I have no idea what the 3rd summer shall be, for this is a program of one day at a time and I would have it no other way. So I guess I'll just keep on doing what I've been doing and I there's no telling what will happen by summer #3.
God Bless You All
