Full of gratitude
Full of gratitude
Today at my AA meeting, the topic was gratitude. One of the members there said "gratitude isn't just a feeling, it's a tool necessary for sobriety." That really made me think how true it is, because gratitude for me is something I use every day in order to remain sober. Even if I have a negative day, I can always take a few minutes at and make a mental list of at least three things I am grateful for.
Lately, I've been filled with so much gratitude for simple things like being able to breathe clearly out of both nostrils, have a lovely kitchen that I enjoy cooking in, get to play the piano and teach others in subjects that are dear to my heart.
My higher power, who I call God, is so good -- I am grateful
