Wisdom to know the difference
IM HERE STILL FREE. I KNOW IT IS IN MY BEST INTEREST TO NOT EVER TAKE THE FIRST DRINK AGAIN. NO MATTER WHAT ALCOHOL IS POISON, TOXIC LEGAL TO PURCHASE NOT FOR ME THE JUDGE HAS TOLD ME THIS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND AFTER TOO MANY BLACKOUTS I SHOULD KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE. THE DESIRE DOES COME AT ME QUITE OFTEN AND AFTER 5 YEARS OF ABSTINENCE ITS ALMOST 5 YEARS OF RELAPSING OVER AND OVER AGAIN SO IM WRITING ABOUT IT. 40 YEARS OLD, ON BAIL FOR 10 MONTHS NOW FIGHTING FOR MY FREEDOM OUCH. I WILL KEEP PERSEVERING

It sounds like you are really ready to give yourself the Gift of Sobriety. Much luck to you and the SR Site will be of great support to you. Your struggles are not uncommon and today is a new day. Be kind to yourself as Alcoholism is a disease with a cure..to consider it as a hot flame that you (an we) need to avoid in order to live a good life.
