Grateful today, first day of December

So Paul Walker died. I'm not one for Hollywood gossip, but I'm trying to remind myself of how short life is. Sobriety is not only about getting through addiction but finding ways to make the very best of each day of your life. When you're an addict, you do not live...you only exist.

So today- I am just grateful to be alive.

Hugs to everyone.

To LiaAc,
I believe you have put several days together Sober? It is so great to see you on SR and continuing to follow your progress. Yes, I believe we have to replace drinking with other activities. I was working when I got Sober and was told to go to two meetings a day...I thought that was extreme but I found it was just right for me to feel comfortable that I understood the Disease factor...Slipping was not an option for me but I needed to be reinforced that I was a true Miracle by not drinking, and had many other people who had gone before me who helped me thru the process. Good Luck going forward!! I am cheering for you!!!
