Grateful for

At 24 years I should not have a problem with alcohol but I do.. I'm thankful that I have finally mustered up the courage to look at myself in the mirror and start facing my problems

I am so grateful to (God) for keeping me clean and sober for the last 30 years.

Wow that is long... Why is it that some people make the effort while others fall by the way side? What makes you so different than anyone (minus the 30 year thing) but this question just popped in my mind....

I like gnocchi ^_^

Hi fufu,

After 11 years of being an alcoholic as well as a heroin addict for 7. It hit me one day that I just couldn't continue to live the way I was living anymore.

And so I made the decision to stop. And haven't looked back since.

I posted my story of recovery on the Stories of Recovery thread, if you would like to take a look.
