New door of opportunity
New door of opportunity
Today I'm grateful for:
- Supportive husband
- Supportive kids
- A job with the flexibility for me to have the time to reflect
- A new sober best friend reconnected from the past
- New woman's AA support group (never something I thought I would seek and then appreciate)
- Five days sober and so far fighting the urge without tearing my hair out
- Most all grateful that I was able to admit that I'm an alcholic to myself - Resulted in a new door of opportunities.
Wishing the same good fortune to others.

Wonderful things to be grateful for! Sober 8 months (second time of long term sobriety) but after I lost my marriage, home, almost every relationship I had invested in. When you are tempted to slip, and you will be, please remind yourself of how precious your husband and children are and that you are blessed , but you must work hard to keep those blessings. Never your guard down. Very best to you on this beautiful road to recovery!
