Got hammered here this afternoon. 70 mph gusts, hail stones, and dark skies. power was out for 5 hrs. The roads were blocked for wires and poles down and one of my friends had their 2 car attached garage peeled right off the house. The mennonite family next door to him lost a wonderful old 40 x 80 barn.

No injuries reported.

When we got over to Hals to offer a shoulder and see if we could help him clean up, it was amazing to see the destructive force of the wind. one thing here left untouched and 5 feet away another shredded and krumpled.

A great reminder of gratitude for family, friends, emergency response teams, the gift of recovery to appreciate all these things, and this place to say it.
