I have missed you all very much...been crazy busy and overdoing it..LOL...writing projects that I have finally taken very very seriously and committed to finishing have really taken a toll....one is autobiographical in nature and is draining me..but growth can come from pain...boy howdy! It is PAINFUl though...as an addict feeling ANYTHING can cramp my 'style' sometimes...still the urge to fight the feelings...but doing it anyways.
How are you my friend...Hope you are doing alright. I always have you all in my prayers.

Tammie,
It's great you're getting some writing done! Sorry it hurts, though. Sounds like Step-work. LOL. Are you getting out some, too? I guess so, if you're crazy busy. Are you doing OK with the pain these days?
I had to go into a Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient program for my depression for about 4 weeks. And I'm still not much improved, unfortunately, altough things are SLOWLY getting better. Thanks for asking!
Love, Eddie

Grateful for another weekend with my family.
Grateful for pain that I learn from, and that helps me to grow.
Grateful for challenges.....keeps me on my toes!
Grateful for our home..............
Grateful for our soldiers and their families who share them, grateful for our freedoms...which are greater than we will probably ever comprehend.

You're most welcome, Tammie! I also need to get back to doing a gratitude list (of AT LEAST two items) at bedtime. And I need to come up with a good PM gratitude-for-keeping-me-clean prayer although I guess I could adjust the AM one to suit...

What a great thread..
I would like to get into doing a gratitude list everyday..I am grateful first and foremost for the gift of my sobriety and having a higher power in my life today.I am grateful for SR and AA and all the wonderful people I have met here.I am grateful to have the gift of laughter back in my life today,to have hope and plans, dreams for a future.I could go on and on..

Memories....
It seems like it always rains when it pours!! On the 4rth of July, my sister gave the photos of my youngest two sons that CPS had to adopt out because I refused to sober up & take care of them....same thing happened to my daughter except that my parents share custody of her so I get to see her...and then there is my oldest, which is a boy that I gave up at two hours old when I was just barely 16 yrs old because my parents said that it was for the best since he was a product of rape/of me getting too high & drunk & being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people...anyways, to make a long story short; every year since 1998 from June through August, I have a real hard time with my memories!! This year and last year I have been able to stay sober through the pain; and so I would like to say that I am so very grateful for my memories!!
Thanks!! I love all of ya'll!!
