Thumbs up Not enough Gratitude!

You know some days & weeks & even months have gone by for me that have been easy in Soberity! I have been so Grateful because things have gone my way .............isint it easy to be grateful when life is a bed of roses!
This last 10 days was H3ll on earth, my friend died, my daughter was seriously ill.............was i grateful to be sober ha NO i was full of self pity!! But tonight when i look over it i have to have gratitude to thank the God of my understanding that i was in my friends life, i got to share in his life, to remember him full of life to let his memory live on!
To have gratitude to be sober today, just for Today i can do. I thank MY god for me being sober to allow me to feel for other people to be able to grieve!
Being an alcoholic in recovery at this very moment in time i am D@MN full of Gratitude that i have been given the chance of soberity, to be there for my sick child to give of my self 100%, For that i am extremely full of gratitude, I have to be grateful no matter what life throws at me...................why?? Because i'm alive & well & able to tell the tale, I still have a family that loves me, kids who adore me ........................For today i am eternally grateful

(((Sam)))

I'm so sorry about your friend - it's very hard to lose someone you love so dearly. Also hope your daughter has turned the corner and is feeling better.

Your post inspires me and I'm so grateful to know you!!! :ghug3

I'm thinking about you too cause I know you've also lost a beloved friend. Always grateful for your kindness and wisdom with lots of laughs in there too.

Sam and Blacky, I, too, am so sorry for your loss. A loss is always difficult to get through.

Sending positive thoughts and hugs... and I hope you find peace.
