Gratitude List @ Work

hey all...

i work at a mental hospital, so i talk to angry crazy people all day. needless to say, it helps me work on my patience and compassion and tolerance, yadda-yadda-yadda... most of the time i do pretty well, too, all things considered. today, however, i am grumpy and not feeling very serene. so-i am going to make a gratitude list, before my sponsor even makes me. here goes.

i am grateful for my sobriety.
i am grateful for my relationship with the Big Guy.
i am grateful for my responsibilities today, because i would not be able to maintain my lifestyle without being a responsible person.
i am grateful for a job that keeps me busy, even when i don't necessarily want to be busy, because that's probably when i need it the most.
i am grateful for prayer and the knowledge of how powerful prayer is.
i am grateful for Haze who loves me all the time no matter what.
i am grateful for my family, and the beautiful kids my brothers and sisters have created.
i am grateful i get to be a good sister, a good daughter, a good friend, a good girlfriend, a good tenant, a good employee, and a law-abiding citizen. well, for the most part.

alright, i feel better. that was a little guy, but it helped! thanks all.

peace!

Grateful for your post
wow. I always think about when i went to an institution and they had people locked in houses. We entered the wrong one and they all came to the door screaming and touching us. I was devastated to see they lived that way. They came to the door like i can't say.... Outside the gardens hid the fact that it is the worst disease in the world. Because i know anyone can loose his mind i wanna add to your post, if you don't mind that I AM grateful for having a clear mind still and i ask God peace for the souls that hurt too much and lost their way.

I am grateful not to have lost it yet and this post of yours remind me why i need to keep being sober.Anyone can loose it, yes

very grateful for your post
