You had me rolling in laughter they sometimes remind me of dumb and dumber. I have legal questions not medical but the attorney is the one who said go to the doctor get evaluated be ready to show your taking this seriously and your getting help.
Hi Carrie, first of all I just wanted to say I'm sorry you are in this situation. I hope your fiancé appreciates how supportive you are. I think it's great that he's trying to get off the opiates...it's not easy at all. Going through withdrawals is a horrible experience....but it looks like he's trying. I can see why he looks up to his cousin....he probably thinks his cousin knows a lot about this....maybe his cousin has gone thru it too. Not sure how strong his cousins is to not give him pills when he's suffering through.....it takes a very stubborn, strong willed person to not give in when he's begging for it. That might be what's happening here....and why he pushed the date forward a little.
Well I just wanted to send a virtual (((hug)))) to you and prayers that fiancé can push through this and get to the other side!
Oh fandy you just gave me a good laugh! Thank you!

If I remember correctly it was an old SNL skit, I can't find it or I would post it...Steve Martin perhaps?
At Home Surgery...quite equal to At Home Detox. although it's tongue in check humor, I really think his condition needs a doctor's supervision for safety. Can his cousin administer a defibrillator if needed? can he resuscitate him? can he keep him breathing? can he keep him from having a seizure that affects his brain function? I doubt it, it takes an entire TEAM of Emergency Medicine specialists to manage this type of patient. You may wind up with a sober vegetable.....it is foolish to NOT go to a physician. Obviously $$ is not a problem....he would probably be safer and sober faster with a real inpatient detox...but is he serious?
