Wicked - I didn't even get that you put delete bc you deleted your post. I took it to mean that was your suggestion to me -- to delete his text! LOL
I agree with you and Hanna -- if I could care take for myself in the same way I did for him I would be doin pretty well!!
So I'm gonna see if I can reframe the way I do things around the house and start offering to do things for myself -- maybe eve call myself sweetie or hun!

And so off I go to snuggle under the covers and get cozy and fall asleep. :-)

Hey shine, things will be ackward for a period of time so you follow the path you have made for yourself. Sooner or later words gonna get out so dont fret over it. Just be you. Rootin for ya.

I'm all like "Hey Hanna, how are you? Do you know how great you are doing? I'm so proud of you!"
And "Hey Hanna, do you need anything? Let me just give you some money."
Oh my goodness, to have me in my life loving and helping me.... And I wouldn't feel guilty about it like I do when others do things for me..

Haha! Loving our self dialogues. :-)
Today I said to myself, sweetie are you hungry?
And I was!
So I made myself some lunch and put on some music I like.
Also bought myself a new dress for the party tonight that was on wicked sale: $118 to $21.97!! (Thanks clearance!)
It's a fun colorful dress unlike anything else I have so it's a change to represent this new self-attentive me!!
Now I'm saying to myself: hey wanna go lay down with me and rest so you can feel good for the party tonight?
Answer -- yes!!
Shared this self talk to two ladies after my al anon meeting this morning and they got on board with it too. Haha

It really is a healing thing. Can you imagine what would happen if we expected as much from everyone else as we are willing to give?

Also imagining the little mischievous smile that come along with doing this in our heads in public. Mom always said a woman with a secret is more attractive. Lol.
