Don't cry anymore, it ages us!! Also.....running to your trunk for a tissue everytime is going to get tiring. Although.....hmmmm......it could be good exercise too. lol Ok, cry when you watch a sad movie but not about him.

Jerect, it took me years to kick my son out and mean it. I took him back even when he stole from me, made our home a war zone, hid stolen good there as well as drugs and could have got me in serious triouble...and yet I let him move home over and over. Until one day I didn't anymore. I had "enough".

You're close to "enough", teetering on the edge, and one day soon you will just "know" the time is right. You will be ready and it will all fall together for you.

In the meantime we're all walking with you, sharing our light until you can find yours.

I'm glad you came back, old timers like me are glad to see you, newcomers can learn from you and if you are like me, every once in a while something someone says will click with you...and you will find your "enough" point.

We answer these feelings of deep hurt in different ways,
jerect.We ask why, we deflect with any variety of transparent
guises ( including humor),and sometimes we just want to be
sad and mourn----without some twit lecturing us as to how
we SHOULD be doing it right,or better,or whatever.

SR is not a MASH.We can't stabilize anyone for
the plane trip stateside......we're more like a campfire,
with hot chocolate, laughter, and yes --- a few goobers
here and there.

But better than the cold.Better than facing this
alone.

I wish I could be as strong and feel as convinced about leaving my AB as you. I seem to think that breaking up, kicking out is the right choice until I feel the need to bring back, love and support again. I know my wishy washy ways got me in this mess in the first place but I barricaded my rights of choice by getting my family involved. Now, I cannot choose to be with my AB because my parents will have nothing to do with me if I ever go back. This kills me inside as I realized that I may never love anyone as much as I love him.

I think you are demonstrating huge courage and balls to post your last thread. You are no different to anyone of us. Who says you were 'wrong' or 'right'. No-one here can judge. It is not about judging - this scary, sad, tragic journey we are all on - the journey of loving - or in some cases - having once loved - an addict. we are human beings. This is life. Life is no bed of roses. But we must not forget to forgive ourselves - and love ourselves. And to enjoy this life too. It is all one big adventure... but try to live it positively - doing the best you can for yourself! We are here for you.. keep posting.

Jerect....just take the dog when you're ready to leave.. or stash the dog with a friend before you move your stuff.
My husband's name was on the dog's papers as well.. he threatened to call the cops if I ever took the dog..
I left the dog with him when I moved...
He LOST the dog one night when he was high... (cried was sorry etc)
to this day... I still miss that dog and regret not taking him with me
seriously.. an addict is going to call the cops?
