My AD has been inching closer and closer to sobriety..she has been going to therapy and anger management classes and I see the results in her and it is wonderful...
she had a backslide over the last few days....but I have learned to see the bigger picture...

I know she will get there...and my adjusting to her successes and failures comes with an ease I could not have dreamt of a year ago...

I understand her fears, and the need to sabotage herself as a result....but when I stand back far enough, I can see the steady, albeit slow, progress she is making...

I am grateful for the ability to let go and trust her process, and the serenity that comes from that...

I want to say what has been said a million times here and that bears repeating

I am so grateful to the wonderful people on this site...this is a blessed place ....and I often just shake my head at just how special it all is...

I have healed here in this place and proudly cart around a bag of tools that have allowed me to reclaim my life, thanks to you all...

Your daughter sounds like she is slowly making progress and thats a good thing. I'm so glad you can look at whole picture and understand the work she is doing.....is because she has made the decision to help herself. Positive energy being send your way and hugs to your daughter. Maybe she'll come back here when the time is right....and get some extra support. Smiles, Bonnie

Thanks, Bonnie...I hope she makes it back here too, and I believe she will when she is ready....and if she dosen't, she will find the support elsewhere , I'm sure....

Isn't it just amazing when we let go and get out of the way, use our bag of tools, how things can work out? Good for you, and do something nice for yourself today to acknowledge the progress you have made! :ghug
