Acronyms

I am new and trying to grasp all the accronyms. Most are intuitive. Does "R" mean recovering, as in not relapsed?

Hi! There is a sticky at the top of the forum called "what it all means" which explains a lot. Here are some of the acronyms:

Abbreviations:

A: This is our way of referring to the Addict or Alcoholic in our lives
AD: Alcoholic/Addict Daughter
AH: Alcoholic/Addict Husband
AS: Alcoholic/ Addict Son
ABF: Alcoholic / Addict Boyfriend
AW: Alcoholic/ Addict Wife
ASO: Alcoholic/Addict Significant Other
EXAH : Ex addict/alcoholic Husband
DH: Divorced Husband
STBX: Soon to Be Ex
SS: Sober Son
SD: Sober Daughter
BIL: Brother in Law; DIL Daughter in law
MIL Mother in Law
FTF: Face to Face, as in FTF meetings
IMHO: In my humble opinion

Thanks everyone. When in doubt, I will visit the stickys, at the top. They are there for a rerason.

Next, I am going to figure out how to leave "thanks" via the button.

Been doing that but it does not show anywhere. The Thank You button disappears. I am in need of message boarding for idiots.

I think you have to have a certain number of posts before you can do things like thanks, private messages etc. I don't know for certain, but I think so....

LOL
