My positive guidelines for life
This is something I try to meditate on most mornings and thought Id share:
Start each morning with some positive exposure wisdom or expressions.
Start each day with a positive thought process.
Im happy. Its going to be a great day. Im the greatest
Get rid of negative people in your life.
Avoid all negatives
Eliminate negative things and people I come in contact with, if you cant get rid of them reduce the one on one time and thoughts about them.
Avoid TV and Movie violence.
Violence generates negative nervous energy
Make your own environment one that amkes you happy, gives you peace and fosters learning.
Smile all the time.
Respond to everything in the positive
This means stop and think before you mouth off

I use this one on occasion:
LIVING IN THE NOW
Live in the now -- the past and future do not exist.
Be happy -- remember good things and let go of the bad.
Disasters aren't so bad if dealt with a piece at a time.
Life is not THAT serious.
Take humor a bit more seriously.

those are good ones from both of you. i will have to think about it.
i always greet the day with a postive attitude & say i want to be happy today. i am grateful for another day, another chance.
i meditate every morning, say my prayers for j. & little j., i add my other two children & all of those i love & care about. my S.R. family & friends are included.

Thanks for the thoughts of to greet each new day in a positive manner, I only been feeling the negative lately. I love how moose lips says live in the now. Not the past or future. It reminds me of when my mom took me to thailand to meet my realatives. and i met the village elder monk and he gave me a book on budism, and this was one of there teachings. Its nice to be reminded of this piece of wisdom.

i have had to learn to live in the moment to be happy. i try to watch my thoughts from the moment I wake in the morning. i know now I get to choose what goes in and out of my mind.........I try to watch where my energy goes. It really helps me ....I have learned to be selfish about where I choose to put my energy and who I choose to share it with...not always easy and i get pulled too far into the world and then I have to call my spirit back....Its kind of like the 'being in the world but not of it' dance that makes me a better, happier person and I find I have more to give because of it..........and then there are those days when I'm way out there in the world, miserable and wondering how I got there and then remembering that I stopped paying attention ...

I stopped watching the news. I find it much easier to be happy when I get my news from online sources where I choose what to read and I don't have to look at graphic pictures.
I allow myself a "mental health day" now and again.....for a whole day, I do whatever I want, or nothing at all, and I don't make apologies and I don't feel guilty.
I listen to Al-Anon speaker tapes or good novels on CD while I commute to work. Even traffic jams don't trouble me when I am listening to something wonderful.
I asked for tap shoes for Christmas and GOT THEM. Do I know how to dance? I will soon. I may never make it to Broadway, but in my kitchen I am a star! I can't get over how glamorous I feel when I am tap-tap-tapping my way through the dishes. You can't be cranky when you're tap dancing.
I check in with you guys every day and go to at least two meetings a week.
I never miss an opportunity to keep my mouth shut.
Life hasn't been this good in years.
