sad or stupid ?

These are the types of things I have to learn to let go of, you know? Not that I don't care about the hungry people and not that I don't care about people abiding by the law and paying for what the get. I just know that I can't take on the world, solve all the problems. Not saying that you are doing that, but I just know my old, stinkin' thinkin' mind can take something and think myself right into misery, worry, fear, etc.
It was a sad sight, for sure. Maybe next time (if there is one) you could go in, offer to buy the food for them, if you feel so led.
You're not stupid. It is sad. I just have to remember that there is reality out there and I have to live in it while doing what is best for me in order to keep my sanity and peace. In this case, I'd just have to let it go.
