My mom had flu - like sumptoms for about a year. To make long story short, she also had a mass on her thyroid, which turned out to be a non - cancerous sarcoid. It took the doctors a LONG time to figure this out, the hospital here never did. Just wanted to throw this out there, just in case there's any mystery. Mom did have her thyroid removed, and was prescribed steroids after the operation.
Of course, my prayers are with Lilpony, and you too, Loves. Hope all turns out well, I'm sure the prayers will be very strong coming from the family here at SR.

I know from my own experience with a terrifying "looking" mamogram that things are not always what they seem. I saw a huge "mass" on the digital mamogram and immediately knew there was a problem.
I worried myself sick to death for the next 24 hours, and wouldn't you know, they called me back in.
Well, to make it short, it was only a big cyst.
Here's praying that Lilpony will be ok and have nothing to fear.
