OT-really need your prayers
My husband came home from work today and told me that he got permanently laid off. The place he works has been having financial problems for a while (he is a golf course superintendent) but there is no way that we were prepared for this. I don't know what he will do. We will be okay financially and I am the one with the insurance but this will be such a blow to him. He has put his heart and soul into this golf course and has been there since the construction began 11 years ago. So please keep us in your prayers. We are both devastated. Marle
Marle,
Good Luck to you and your husband, prayers for you both. I understand how he feels....
I too was laid off a few months ago and I am currently trying to "reinvent myself"... and now
I am trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.....

Marle,
So sorry about the job loss...sometimes it feels like the world is coming down on us. Take a few days and let it sink in. I have learned that we can adjust to about anything after the shock wears off.

I am so sorry. Hopefully, the saying, "when one door closes, another opens" will work for him. Sometimes, even though we can't always see it, things happen for a reason.
I know it will be hard on him at first but he may find other opportunities. Prayers going out to both of you.

You and your husband are in my prayers. I know it must be hard on him to have worked so hard on this. It might not seem like it now, but you know things will work out. I'm just sorry for the sad feelings right now.
Love ya

Marteen took the words right out of my mouth.
I'll be keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers for something better to come along.......maybe even better than you can imagine. Keep the faith Marle.
I told him that for right now we need to view this as an early layoff. He usually gets laid off for the months of December, January and February anyway. Our house is paid for and we only have the usual utilities and one car payment. We just won't be able to live that life of luxury that we are so used to Things could be worse. If Megan had stayed in college, we would have parent loans to pay for. And who knows maybe he can be of help to Megan should she decide to go to rehab. Plus the doggies will love having the company since I go back to work tomorrow. And he can plan the dinners. And maybe even clean the house (not counting on that one though) Thanks for your prayers. I am getting my bearings and should be okay. Hugs, Marle

Sorry I'm late in offering my prayers and support.
Praying that it all works itself out soon and Mr. Marle finds things to occupy his time for a while.
