Mavis

Well guy's, tonight is my first day back at school (talk about out of my comfort zone!) I attend tuesday's and thursday evenings for 3 month's. I am upgrading my Highschool for Colledge prep. I am soooo nervous!
I will be studing so much inbetween being a Mommy and such, so if I don't post now and then, it's probably because my head is stuck in a book and my eye's are crossed from reading so much! lol

Besides nervous, I am a little glad to get away from the mess of AH. It will keep me occupied and focused on School rather than his addiction. He is truly supportive of me going back. I have never heard so many positive words from him before!

I think this is a wonderful thing you're doing for yourself Mavis!! You'll be just fine I know it. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward. You're an inspiration.

I always think about going back to school, but I never do it. I can't decide if I want my Master's degree or if I want to go to Nursing school so I just keep putting it off.

It's going to be fun! Well at least it was for me. I returned to college when my sons were young, and I loved every minute of it!

A lady accompanied me in the elevator on the way up to the class. We both looked at eachother with "dum de dum" in our minds. We both got off the same floor. She looked at me and said "English"
"yip"
"ME TOO!"
"First time back"
I said laughing "Yip"
"Me too!"
We both chuckled and sat down beside each other at the back of the class room. She told me "Cooler people sit at the back of the class" LOL
We exchanged number's and will start car pooling on Thursday together!

The teacher is awesome! She started out with a story on how she is a product of "upgrading". She told us of her highest marks in school were 27%. She had 4 kids when she dicided to go back to school and on a whim, she threw her kiddo's in the van and paid the money for the course because she knew she might change her mind in a heart beat if she had thought about it.

The time flew by so fast! I laughed, I almost cried at a story that we read and I have home work already!

I truly want to say, If there is anyone at SR that want to go back to school and doubt the thought of it.. DON'T!!! Go back and do it!
